Dublin Airport unveils American Airlines’ plans to offer direct flights between Dublin and Dallas Fort Worth from June 2019.
The new seasonal service will launch on 6 June next year, running until 28 September 2019. It will be Ireland's only direct route to Texas.
American Airlines will operate the flights with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in a 285-seat three-class configuration, with Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
The airline said the flights will depart from Dallas at 20.35, arriving in Dublin at 11.40 the next day, and the return route will leave Dublin at 13.40 and arrive in Dallas at 17.45.
Vincent Harrison, Dublin Airport’s Managing Director commented: “This new route is great news for tourist businesses throughout the country, as it will open up a new direct market for inbound business and leisure visitors from the United States.”

Dublin Airport has increased its transatlantic travel offering over the last 12 months, and recently opened a €16 million transfer hub catering for connecting passengers. Dallas will be the airport's 22nd North American destination. Earlier this year .
Dallas Fort Worth International is American Airlines’ largest hub for connecting traffic, and the new route will open up a host of onward destinations in the US and Latin America for Irish travellers.
